SA105 재질은 약간 온도가 높은 고온 환경의 압력이 작용하는 환경에 사용하는
프렌지, 밸브, 피팅용 재료로 쓰이는 ASME 탄소강 배관용 강재 재질입니다.

항복강도로만 보면 ASME SA36 강재와 차이가 없습니다.
SA36 — 항복강도 250 MPa로 차이가 없고

SA36 — 인장강도에서 400~550 MPa, A105 — 485 MPa minimum 으로 차이가 있습니다.
SA105 재질에는 니켈, 크롬, 구리, 몰리브덴 등이 조금씩 합금되어 있습니다.

하지만 탄소량에서는 차이가 있고 SA105 탄소량 상한이 높습니다.
SA105 재질은 NT, QT, Annealing Normalizing 열처리할 수 있는 재질입니다.

이런 이유로 SA105 재질은 A36 또는 SA36 재질과 차이가 있습니다.
탄소강이기에 스테인리스처럼 내식성이 담보되지 않습니다.

※ 열처리( Heat Treatment : 熱處理)
철강재의 전체 또는 일부에 열 사이클을 적용하여 그 성질 또는 조직을 변화 시키는
일련의 작업으로, 철강재의 화학 조성은 이러한 작업 과정으로 변할 수 있습니다.

Series of operations in the course of which a solid ferrous product is totally or
or partially exposed to thermal cycles to bring about a change in its
properties and/or structure.
The chemical composition of the ferrous product may possibly be
modified during these operations.

※ Quenched and Tempered Steel (QT강, 조질강 : 調質鋼)
Steel products quenched and tempered in other to obtain
the properties which high strength steels should have.

고장력강으로서의 성질을 가지게 한 강재를 말합니다.
