A681 P6 재질은 크롬-니켈 합금 공구강입니다.
공구강으로는 탄소량이 무척 낮은 A681 P series 의 P6 재질입니다.

표면 경화용 강재로, 경화 방법은 침탄을 사용하며, 표면경도 58~64 HRC 이고
심한 충격과 마모에 대한 저항성이 필요한 비교적 대형용으로 사용됩니다.

완전 경화 시키면 심부 경도가 1100 MPa 수준의 인장강도와
930 MPa 수준의 높은 항복강도가 가능한 재료입니다.

A681 P6 재질과 AISI 3310 재질과 비교되고 UNS T51606 입니다.
Carpenter 158 또는 CarTech® 158® Alloy 강재와 비교됩니다.

JIS SNC815, EN 15NiCr13/1.5752 재질은 크롬이 P6 재질보다 적습니다.
크롬을 강에 합금하면 경화성과 내산화성을 높이는 역할을 합니다.

A generic term of steels used various jigs and tools the cutting and
plastic working for metal or nonmetal.
There are a large number of types, because they have many uses and
various required performance. They are, as a rule, classified into carbon
tool steels, alloy tool steels, and high speed tool steels by chemical
composition and performance.

금속, 또는 비금속의 절삭, 소성가공용 등의 각종 지그(jig), 공구로 쓰이는
강철의 총칭. 용도가 넓고 요구성능이 다방면에 걸치므로 종류가 많습니다.
일반적으로는 화학성분 및 성능을 고려하여 탄소공구강, 합금공구강,
고속도 공구강으로 분류됩니다.

※ Case hardening steel (표면경화강: 表面硬化鋼)
Low carbon steels and low carbon alloy steels of machine structural use
whose surfaces are hardened mainly by carburization hardening.
Steels with a relatively low carbon content, which are intented for
carburising or carbonitriding and subsequent hardening.
Such steels, after treatment, are characterised by a high hardness
surface layer and a tough.

저탄소강 및 저탄소합금강으로, 주로 침탄 퀜칭에 의해 표면경화 시킨 강.
표면의 내마모성과 내피로성을 높이지만, 강재 내부의 인성을 유지 시킨 강재.
표면경화 방법으로는 침탄 (Carburizing), 질화 (Nitriding), 침붕 (Boriding)이 있고
각각 탄소, 질소, 붕소를 강재 표면에 침투시켜 경화시키는 방법입니다.
