SF490A 재질은 Steel Forging 인장강도 최소 490 MPa 단조 탄소강입니다.
SM490A 재질은 Steel Marine 인장강도 최소 490 MPa 용접 구조용 탄소강입니다.

SF490A 강재의 탄소량은 0.60% maximum 이고
SM490A 강재의 탄소량은 0.22% maximum입니다…탄소량에 따라 용접성이 다를 수 있습니다.

SF490A 강재는 두께와 상관없이 항복강도 245 MPa minimum입니다.
SM490A 강재는 강재 두께에 따라 항복강도가 뚝뚝 떨어집니다.

이와 같은 차이로 SF490A 재질은 대형 환봉에서도 강도가 높습니다.
SM490A 강재는 위의 이유로 소구경만 있지만, 그것도 거의 없고 대구경은 거의 제조 안합니다.

SF490A 강재는 연신율이 축방향과 절선 방향으로 구분됩니다.
SM490A 강재는 압연 방향으로만 있습니다.

SF490A 강재는 단면 감소율 규정이 있지만, SM490A 강재는
단면 감소율 규정이 없으며, 세부적인 사항에 들어가면 차이가 더 있습니다.

※ Rolled steel products (압연강재 : 壓延鋼材)
Steel products to be formed bars, wire rods, sections, steel strip
in coil, steel plates, flat bar and so on by rolling mill.
Normally those further not hot rolled by the manufacturer.

압연기로서 봉강, 선재, 형강, 강판, 강대, 평강 등의 모양으로, 성형 가공한 강재로
성형 가공 후 보통 제조자에 의해 더 이상 추가적인 열간 압연이 없습니다.

※ Steel for structure (구조용강 : 構造用鋼)
Steel products manufactured for building, bridges, ships, vehicles,
and other structure uses, which require high strength,
if required weldability as well

건축, 교량, 선박, 차량, 기타의 구조물용으로서 강도 및 필요에 따라
용접성을 중시하여 제조된 강재를 말합니다.

※ Steel forging (단조강)
Steel ingot or semi-finished product to be wrought and formed to
provide a suitable wrought ratio and generally heat treated to
provide desired mechanical properties

적당한 단련 성형비를 주도록 강괴 또는 강편을 단련 성형하고
원하는 (소정의) 기계적 성질을 얻기 위해 열처리를 시행한 것을 말합니다.
