A204-B 강판은 압력용기 강판으로 쓰이는 0.5% 몰리브덴 합금입니다.
압력용기의 온도가 오르고 내리는 환경에서 고온 강도와 크리프 강도를

높여주는 역할을 하기에 몰리브덴을 합금하며 0.5% 수준의 합금량만으로도
고온 환경 대응성을 높여주는 유효한 원소입니다.

예를 들어 A204 GR.B 강재와 대응 가능한 JIS G 3103 SB480M 재질이
550℃/33 MPa의 허용 인장 응력일 때, 몰리브덴 합금없는 SB410은 17 MPa 입니다.

A204-B 재질의 항복강도는 275 MPa minimum으로 단지 항복강도로만 보면
KS SS275 재질과 같지만, SS275는 보통 350℃로 사용 온도 영역이 다릅니다.

A204 Gr.B 강재의 열처리는 Normalizing (+N) 또는 Stress Relieved (+SR)
또는 두 가지가 복합 처리되는 경우거나 As Rolled 조건입니다.

※ Molybdenum (Mo)
Its use as an alloying element in steel increase hardenability and
in low alloy steels reduces the risk of temper brittleness.
It is used in stainless steels as well as high speed steels.
It is increases the high-temperature tensile and creep strengths in steel.

몰리브덴은 경화능 향상원소이고, 저합금강에서는 템퍼 취성을 감소 시키는
역할을 합니다. 몰리브덴은 고속도강부터 스텐레스까지 합금 되는 원소입니다.
몰리브덴은 강에서 고온 강도와 크리프 강도를 높여주는 역할을 합니다.

※ Stress Relief (응력제거어닐링(풀림)
Heating to a suitable temperature, holding long enough
to reduce residual stresses and than cooling slowly
enough to minimized the development of new residual stresses.
A heat treatment in which the lock-up stresses in a bar caused
by cold working are removed by heating the bar closed to but
below the lower limit of the critical temperature range,
or to approximately 100℉ below the tempering temperature.

적당한 온도로 가열하고 균열화한 후, 적절한 온도로 냉각함으로써
실질적인 조직의 변화없이 내부 응력을 줄이고자 시행하는 열처리를 말합니다.
