JIS H 5120 CAC 703 재질은 구리에 알루미늄 10% 수준을 합금한 청동입니다.
물론 철과 니켈 원소도 강도 강화 원소로 합금했지만, Main 원소는 알루미늄입니다.

JIS H 5120 규정은 동과 동합금 Casting (주조) 제품에 대한 규정이고, CAC 703 재질은
이 규정안의 재질로, 구리에 알루미늄을 10% 수준 합금하면 항복강도가 아닌

인장강도가 획기적으로 상승하는 효과가 있습니다.
항복강도 245 MPa minimum 수준의 KS SM275 — 항복강도 275 MPa min.으로

KS SM275, SS275 탄소강 강재보다 약하지만, 항복강도는 다릅니다.
용접 구조용 강재 중 최고 강도 강재인 SM570 — 인장강도 570 MPa minimum으로

이런 높은 강도 보다, JIS H 5120 CAC 703 재질이 높습니다.
CAC 703 재질은 인장강도뿐 아니라, 내식성, 내마모성도 높은 청동입니다.

※ 동합금에서 알루미늄 원소
Aluminum is the main strengthening element and normally ranges from 8-13% within
this family of alloys. At the top end of the range, hardness figures of 30-44 HRC are possible.
However, at these very high hardnesses, the ductility is reduced to 1% and these alloys
can only be used in wear applications for forming and drawing tooling.

알루미늄은 8~13% 수준의 합금 양에서 중요한 강화 원소 역할을 하며 이때
경도 값 30~44 HRC 정도입니다.
하지만 고경도에서는 높은 경도를 얻은 대신 연신율이 1% 정도 감소하며
높은 경도 동합금으로 내마모성이 필요한 인발 공구와 성형 용도로 쓰이게 됩니다.

※ Wear resistance (내마모성 : Abrasion resistance : 耐摩耗性)
A property of resistance against a phenomenon in which the mechanical
scratch, metallic abrasion, etc. of relatively moving metal surfaces are
integrated and the surfaces are worn, called wear.

상대 운동하는 금속 면의 기계적 글킴, 금속적 점착 등이 종합되어서 그 면이
소모되는 현상을 마모라고 하고, 이에 견디는 성질을 말합니다.
