RS DH36 강재는 러시아 선급 (Russian Marintime Register of Shipping)의
High Strength (고강도) 강재로 항복강도 355 MPa minimum이면서

CVN Impact Test -20℃, 최소 50 Joule 값을 가지는 탄소강 강판을 말합니다.
“H” 없는 RS D Grade 경우 — 항복강도 235 MPa minimum과 비교해

RS DH36 재질은 항복강도 355 MPa minimum으로, 높은 강도 강재입니다.
단지 강도로만 보면 SM355A 재질과 같지만, KS SM355A에는 없는

-50℃ 저온 충격 인성 시험 인증 조건 강재로, 현저한 차이가 있습니다.
강재는 온도가 내려가면 갈수록 취성이 증가해 강재가 깨지는 현상이 높아집니다.

선박, 배가 온도가 낮은 북극과 같은 해역의 파도의 충격에 견디는 성질을 지니게 한 강재입니다.
RS DH36 의 RS는 10여 개의 선급 인증기관 중 하나로, 인증을 받으면 EN 10204 Type 3.2 강재입니다.

※ Brittleness (취성 : 脆性)
The property of little deformability, hard and brittle in general.
It is usually compared by the strength of impact or
the surface conditions of fracture.
일반적으로 단단하고 취성 (脆性)이며, 변형 등이 적은 성질. 보통, 충격시험에서,
충격치의 대소 또는 파면의 상황에 따라 비교합니다.
인성(Toughness)와 반대되는 개념으로 외부의 힘에 물체가 소성 변형
(Plastic deformation)을 거의 보이지 않고, 파괴되는 현상을 말합니다.

※ Toughness (인성 : 靭性)
The degree of difficulty in occurring impact breaking
because of the material’s toughness.
질기고 세며, 충격 파괴를 일으키기 어려운지, 어떤지의 정도를 말합니다.
충격에 파괴됨이 없이 충격을 흡수하는 능력으로, 인성이 낮은 강재는
깨지거나 찢어지기 쉽고, 높은 인성 재료는 보통 연성도 높습니다.

Impact absorbing ability of steel without fracture. It is measured by
energy absorbed in an impact bending test. But the area below the
stress-strain curve in tensile testing is also a measure of toughness.
Steel and metal, which is difficult to break has a high toughness.
Steel and metal , which high toughness normally has a high ductility and is
difficult to break with impact energy.
Steels and metals with low toughness are brittle.
