AMS 4598 규정 재료는 화학 조성 77Cu-15Ni-8Sn으로 니켈을 15% 수준과
주석을 합금하고, 용체화처리와 스피노달 열처리를 한 상태의 Temper TX00 입니다.

높은 니켈 합금으로 인성 (toughness)과 높은 강도가 요구되는 환경에 사용됩니다.
특징으로는 비자성, 내마모성, 응력 풀림 저항성, 내식성인 재료입니다.

AMS 4598 규정 재료는 Tube 형상으로 UNS C72900 재질과 대응되며 재질적으로는
B929 C72900 — Rod, Bar, Toughmet 3® — 제조사 상표와 서로 비교 가능합니다.

※ Solution Heat Treatment (용체화처리 : 溶體化處理)
A heat treatment in which the alloy to be heat-treated is heated at a proper
temperature not low than solution limit temperature and made to the state
of super-saturated by rapid cooling after the alloy components have been
sufficiently smelted

합금을 적절한 온도로 가열하고 급랭한 후 과포화 상태로 존재하던
가용 성분을 고용체에 고용될 수 있도록 충분히 유지하는 공정을 말합니다.

※ Spinodal Heat Treatment
a thermal treatment of a solution-heat-treated product to produce property
changes such as hardening, strengthening, and conductivity increase by
spinodal decomposition of solid solution.
This treatment has also been called “age hardened”, spinodal hardened”, or
“spinodal decomposed”
