SAE-J403-1018 재질은 탄소량이 0.18% 수준의 낮아서, QT 열처리로 강고가 높아지지 않으며
강재의 내부 품질을 평활하게 하는 Normalizing 처리만 가능하고, 탄소량이 낮아 용접성이 좋습니다.

Generally speaking carbon steels contain up to 2% total alloying
elements, and can be subdivided into as following categories
Low-carbon steels (저탄소강), which contain up to 0.30% Carbon
Medium-carbon steels (중탄소강), which contain 0.30% to 0.60% Carbon
High-carbon steels (고탄소강), which contain 0.60% to 1.00% Carbon.
