일반 구조용 SS275 — 탄소량 0.25% maximum
용접 구조용 SM275 — 탄소량 0.23% maximum

별 차이 없어 보이지만 0.02% 탄소량 차이로도 재질 명칭과 용도가 달라지도록 하는 게
탄소량이고, 이와 같은 현상은 기계 구조용인 S20C, S22C, S25C에서도 마찬가지입니다.

이와 같은 탄소가 철강재에서 강재에 미치는 높은 영향력으로, 용접성을 가늠할 때 사용하는 지표가
탄소당량이고, 강도를 가늠하는 지표가 항복강도와 인장강도와 같은 기계적 성질입니다.

※ Ceq : 탄소당량 (Carbon equivalent : 炭素當量)
The value obtained by converting the influential strength of
elements other than carbon into carbon content.
The Carbon equivalent to tensile strength, that to the
maximum hardness in weld zone, etc. are often used.
