1.2083, X40Cr14 재료의 특징은 불순물의 제거한 플라스틱 금형용 공구강으로
13.50% 크롬과 0.40% 수준의 탄소량으로, 열처리 시에 좋은 경도를 가지는 강재입니다.

유럽 규격의 마르텐사이트 스테인리스이지만 공구강으로 분류되는 재질입니다.
스테인리스 1.4034, X46Cr13 성격과 비슷합니다.

치수 변경이 적은 낮은 뒤틀림 재료이고, 열처리로 HRC 52 minimum의 고경도입니다.
대기 환경에서는 내식성이고, 광택이 가능하고, 풀림 열처리 상태에서는 좋은 가공성 재료입니다.

※ ESR (Electro Slag Remelting : 일렉트로 슬래그 재용해)
After casting, the ingot is remelted from bottom to top by electric energy,
During this process, the melted steel falls through slags, which collects
almost all of the non-metallic inclusions
A new ingot solidifies from bottom to top and there is very little segregation
from case to core.
The fatigue resistance and in particular the toughness increase.
Even through ESR increases material costs, it can still be economical due to
the increase in the tool’s performance.
Metal injection moulds and extrusion dies often need ESR steel grades.

주조후 잉곳을 전기 에너지로 재용해하는 과정으로, 용융되는 과정에서 비금속 개재물은
슬라그로 떨어져 나가고, 표면부터 심부까지 아주 적은 개재물의 새롭게
형성된 잉곳은 청정성과 내 피로성, 인성이 높아진 잉곳이 됩니다.
이런 생산 과정으로 생산 비용은 높아지겠지만, 잉곳 전체가 청정함으로, 잉곳의
손실 없는 사용이 가능해 오히려 경제적이며, 사출 금형, 압출 다이 용도로 쓰입니다.

※ Inclusions (개재물 : 介在物)
Non-metallic particles like oxides, silicates and sulphides un the steel matrix.
To decrease the negative effect of inclusions on mechanical properties,
special cleaning methods are used during the melting process in the steel production.
Inclusions are determined as a degree of purity according to DIN stansard 50602

산화물. 규산염, 황화물과 같은 비금속 입자들이 강에 매트릭스를 형성하고, 이것이
강의 기계적 특성에 주는, 좋지 않은 영향을 줄이고자, 제거하는 방법을 생산과정에
적용하게 되며, 개재물의 정도는 DIN 50602를 따르고, 이에 따라 강의 순도가 결정됩니다.
