AMS 4650 규정의 재료는 높은 수준의 강도를 가지는 베릴륨 동합금으로
Bars, Rods, Shapes, and Forgings 형상 제품에 대한 규정이면서 화학 조성 98Cu-1.9Be,

고용화 처리 상태로, 석출 경화 열처리 전 Temper TB00 (이전 Temper A) 조건입니다.
Temper TB00 — Solution Heat Treated으로, 이 경우는 인장강도 410~540 MPa

수준이지만, 석출 경화 (precipitation hardening) 처리하는 경우
인장강도 1140~1380 MPa 수준의 강도로 극적으로 변하는 재질입니다.

이 뿐 아니라 해수에 대한 내식성이 높고, 마모에 대한 저항성, 스파크 발생이 없으며
전도성이 좋고, 내열성, 내피로성 특성을 가지는 동합금입니다.

AMS 4650 규정 재료는 ASTM B194, ASTM B196 UNS C17200
재질과 대응 가능하고, 간단한 명칭으로 Alloy25로 불립니다.

※ Solution Heat Treatment(용체화처리 : 溶體化處理)
A heat treatment in which the alloy to be heat-treated is heated at a proper
temperature not low than solution limit temperature and made to the state
of super-saturated by rapid cooling after the alloy components have been
sufficiently smelted

합금을 적절한 온도로 가열하고 급랭한 후 과포화 상태로 존재하던
가용 성분을 고용체에 고용될 수 있도록 충분히 유지하는 공정을 말합니다.

※ Fatigue (피로 : 疲勞)
A damage of material due to periodically fluctuating stresses.
These stresses may have a maximum value, which is less then
the tensile strength of the material.
Fatigue often causes cracks starting with a notch at a sharp
corner of the surface or inner structure as a result of
defaults like inclusions or microcracks.

주기적인 반복 응력에 의한 재료의 손상을 말합니다.
이와 같은 응력은 재료의 인장강도보다는 낮은 수준에서 최대 값입니다,
재료의 피로에 의한 파괴는 노치 또는 개재물에 의한 결함,
미세한 크랙으로 야기됩니다.
