여기에 마르텐사이트 스테인리스의 단점으로 500~970℃로 가열 시 조직 내 크롬이 석출되어
시그마상(Fe-Cr 금속 간 화합물) 취성이 발생하는 재질이기도 합니다.

하지만 비싼 합금 원소인 니켈 합금량이 없다시피 적어, 재료 가격을 높이는 원인이 제거되는 장점도 있고,
탄소강보다는 높은 내식성이 필요하지만, 고(高) 내식성이 높게 필요한 환경이 아닌 곳에 사용됩니다.

※ δ 취성 (δ 脆性 : sigma embrittleness )
Embrittlement caused by the precipitation and separation of phase.
The δ phase is an intermetallic compound produced in the high chromium
steel and high chromium-nickel steel containing not less than 20% chromium.
