ASTM A29 는, 일반적인 Spec 이 요구되는
열간 (hot)  탄소강과 합금강재에 대한 규정입니다.

1045 강재는 A29 에도 있지만
ASTM A576-1045 강재도 있습니다.

ASTM A29 : general requirement 이지만
ASTM A576 : special quality 규정입니다.

ASTM A29 생산 열간 압연 강재로
냉간 압연 환봉을 제조하면 A108 Cold 제품이 됩니다.

이와 같은 경우 검사 증명서에는
ASTM A29, ASTM A108 이 같이 기재됩니다.

A29-1045, A108-1045 제품의 화학 조성은
Carbon nominal 0.45% 수준의 탄소강재 입니다.

A29-1045, A108-1045 제품은, 중탄소강 (medium carbon steel)로
열간 압연재와는 다른게 냉간 압연재인 경우는

size accuracy (치수 정밀성), 제품의 straightness (직진도)
제품 표면이 금속 광택 그대로 이면서 (bright and smooth)

인발재인 경우는 항복 강도가
두 배 수준으로 증가 됩니다.

The term “Cold Finish” is an umbrella definition for any
material that has had some sort of surface treatment
There are round, square, hexagon, flat and so on according
to the cross-sectional shape.

강재를 냉간 인발, 연삭, 절삭, 센터리스 또는 이들의 조합으로
마무리한 봉강으로, 봉강 뿐 아니라, 원형, 정방형,
육각형, 장방형 및 이형 등이 있습니다.

※ Wrought product
A general term for products obtained by hot and/or cold plastic deformation
processes such as extruding, forging, hot rolling, cold rolling or drawing, either
exclusively or in combination.
Examples for wrought products are rod/bar, wire, tube, profile, sheet, strip, forging.

단독 또는 복합적인 압출, 단조, 열간 압연, 냉간 압연 또는 인발과 같은 열간 및 또는
냉간 소성 변형에 의해 얻어지는 제품에 대한 일반적인 용어로, 전신 제품의 예로는
봉, 바, 선, 관, 형재, 판, 조, 단조물이 있습니다.
