AISI, SAE 모두 1010 재질 성분을 공유합니다.
따라서 SAE-AISI 1010 으로도 쓰고,

AISI 1010, SAE 1010 과 같이
단독으로도 표기합니다.

탄소량이 0.08~0.13% 수준의
Low-Carbon (저탄소) 강재입니다.

SAE-AISI 에서는 탄소량
0.30% 까지를 저탄소강 (low carbon steels)

0.30~0.60% 까지를 중탄소강 (medium carbon steels)
0.60~1.00% 까지를 고탄소강 (high carbon steels) 로 분류합니다.

1010 재질은 탄소량 뿐 아니라, 망간, 규소 (silicon)까지도
함량이 낮아, 액체 상태의 용탕 (liquid steel)의 유동성이 좋지 않습니다.

SAE-AISI Carbon steel 10×× series (1010, 1020, 1025, 1035)은
Manganese 가 1.00%를 넘지 말라는 규정이고

10×× series 재질의 명칭을
Plain carbon steel 이라고 합니다.

AISI 1010, SAE 1010 저탄소강재는
JIS S10C 와 비교 가능한 강재 입니다.

※ Steel (강 : 鋼)
Iron, malleable in at least one range of temperature below its melting
point without special heat treatment, substantially free from slag, and
containing carbon more than about 0.05% and less than about 2.00%.
Other alloying elements may be present in significant quantities, but
all steels contain at least small amounts of manganese and silicon,
and usually as undesirable constituents, also sulfur and phosphorus.

– Finishing method (hot rolled steel, cold rolled steel, PM steel, cast steel, etc.)
