Alloy 52 는, Nickel nominal 50.5%와 나머지는 Fe (Iron : 철) 로
구성된 합금으로, 다른 원소들은 유의미한 합금이 아닙니다.

Alloy 52, UNS No. N14052 ASTM F30 규정의 금속은 Iron-Nickel
glass to metal sealing alloy 로, 낮은 열팽창 금속입니다.

일정 온도 구역에서 제한된 열팽창 (controlled expansion alloy)
특성 금속으로, 통신과 전자 장비용으로 특히 glass sealing 재료로 사용됩니다.

Nilo®52 는, trademarks of Special Metals Corporation 입니다.
Alloy 52 controlled low expansion alloy 합금은 Nickel nickel 50.5%,

나머지 Iron 합금으로 특별한 강도를 높이는 합금 원소가 없습니다.
하지만 As annealed condition 0.2% 항복강도 nominal

minimum 235 MPa, 인장강도 minimum 470 MPa 이상이면서
연신율는 37% 이상이고, 극저온에서도 높은 인성 금속입니다.

Low-expansion alloys 로는, Invar, Kovar, Elinvar,
Super invar 가 있고, Binary iron-nickle Invar에 속합니다

The degree of difficulty in occurring impact breaking
because of the material’s toughness .
질기고 세며, 충격 파괴를 일으키기 어려운지, 어떤지의 정도.

※ Toughness (인성 : 靭性)
Impact absorbing ability of steel without fracture. It is measured by
energy absorbed in an impact bending test. But the area below the
stress-strain curve in tensile testing is also a measure of toughness.
Steel, which is difficult to break has a high toughness.
Steel, which high toughness normally has a high ductility and is
difficult to break with impact energy.
Steels with low toughness are brittle.
