90/10 CuNi 합금은 백동 (白銅 : Cupro-Nickel)으로 부르며
Copper 90%, Nickel 10% 합금을 말합니다.

Copper 에, Nickel 합금은 탈색 효과가 있습니다.
백동은 Nickel 10~30% 합금한 동합금을 말하며

JIS에서는 C7060 은 10% Nickel 합금, C7150 은 30% Nickel 합금입니다.
ASTM에서는 C70600 — 10%. C71000 — 20%, C71500 — 30% 합금입니다.

JIS C7060 은 Sheet, Plate, Strip, Pipe and Tube 제품이고
ASTM C7060 은, Bar, Rod 제품 형태까지 규정하고 있습니다.

C7060 Pipe 제품은 Condenser (복수기) 용도로, 90/10 CuNi 제품은
내식성에서, 특히 해수에 내식성이 좋으며, 비교적 고온의 사용에 적합해

선박용 복수기, 급수 가열기, 화학 공업용, 조수 장치 (desalinators) 용도로 쓰입니다.
C7060 Plate 제품도 Pipe와 같은 내해수성이며, 열 교환기와

C7060 Pipe and Tube 제조의 원재료로 사용되며 C7060, 90/10 CuNi
합금은 열간과 냉간 작업성 (cold and hot workability)이 좋습니다.

90/10 CuNi (90-10 Cupronickel) 은, 성형과 절곡성이 (forming and bending)
좋으며, 용접성에서도 좋은 성질의 비중 8.94 g/㎤ 입니다.

※ 백동 (白銅 : Copper-Nickel Alloy, Cupronickel)
Alloy containing copper as the principal component 9.0~33.0% of nickel,
0.40~2.3% of iron, 0.20~2.5% of manganese and not more than 1.0% of zinc.

ASTM : C70600, C70620, C71000, C71500, C71520, C72200
That is excellent in sea water resistance and high temperature strength, and
used for conductive pipe for heat exchanger. Also the alloy of coins of
74.0~76.0 % of copper and 24.0~26.0 % of nickel is known
