AB VH-O60 강재는 -60℃ 에서 충격 시험이 있는 — CVN Test
ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) 미국 선급 규격 강판입니다.

VH-O××로 나타나는 O는 O℃ 이하에서 충격 시험을 의미하고
×× 가 60으로 나타나면 -60℃ 를 의미하고 있는 약자입니다.

VH-O×× 계열 강재로는, VH-O39, VH-O51, VH-O60,
V-O×× 계열로는, V-O39, V-O51, V-O60 종류가 있습니다.

AB VH-O60 강재는 Low Temperature Service Steel (LTS, 저온강재)로
강재가 저온으로 가면 갈수록 취성이 증가하는 것에 대한 저항성 향상 강재입니다.

AB VH-O60 강재는 JIS G 3126 압력 용기용 저온용 강재 SLA365, -60℃ CVN 보증
강재와 비교 가능하고, 선급 규격으로는 NV4-4L, LR LT-FH36 강재와도 비교됩니다.

※ Charpy V-Notch Impact Test (CVN : 샤르피 충격 시험)
Test to measure the absorbed energy, impact value, percentage
of brittle/ductile fracture, transition temperature, etc. with using
charpy impact testing machine in which test piece is supported by
two supports distant by 40 mm so that the notch meets the middle
between supports and is broken by striking with one blow of
pendulum to the face opposite the notch.

샤르피 충격 시험기를 사용하여 시험편을 40mm 간격이 있는 두 개의
지지대에 올려 놓고, 또한 노치부를 지지대 사이의 중앙에 놓고
노치부의 뒷면을 해머로 1회만 충격을 주어, 시험편을 파단 시키고
흡수 에너지, 충격치, 파면율, 천이 온도 등을 측정하는 시험.

※ Brittleness (취성 : 脆性)
The property of little deformability, hard and brittle in general.
It is usually compared by the strength of impact or
the surface conditions of fracture.

일반적으로 단단하고 취성 (脆性)이며, 변형 등이 적은 성질.
보통, 충격 시험에서, 충격치의 대소 또는 파면의 상황에
따라 비교합니다.
인성(Toughness)와 반대되는 개념으로 외부의 힘에 물체가
소성 변형 (Plastic deformation)을 거의 보이지 않고,
파괴되는 현상을 말합니다.
