STS480 재질은 고압 배관용 JIS G 3455 규정 Pipe 입니다.
탄소강 강관으로 인장강도 480 MPa minimum 입니다.

350℃ 이하의 온도에서 사용하고, 높은 압력 환경에서 파이프입니다.
높은 압력에서 사용하기에 강관 두께 가장 얇은 Schedule 이, Sch 40 부터 입니다.

열간 SMLS, 냉간 SMLS 종류가 있으며 STS480 재질은 열간이든 냉간이든
저온 어닐링 또는 노멀라이징 열처리 해서 공급되는 재질입니다.

STS480 JIS G 3445 는, KS D 3564 SPPH 480 (old symbol SPPH 49)
재질과 비교 가능한 탄소강 강관입니다.

※ Annealing (풀림 열처리)
Heat treatment consisting of heating and soaking at a suitable
temperature followed by cooling under conditions such that,
after return to ambient temperature, the metal will be in
a structural state closer to that of equilibrium.
Annealing is a heat treatment process to transform the steel
structure in to a more homogeneous, soft or more suitable state
Note : Since this definition is very general, it is advisable to use an
expression specifying the aim of the treatment (see bright annealing,
full annealing, soft annealing, inter-critical annealing, isothermal
annealing and subcritical annealing)

금속 재료를 적당한 온도로 가열하고, 그 온도에서 유지하는 균질화 처리를
한 뒤, 냉각함으로써 냉각 후 상온에서의 조직이 평형 상태에
가깝도록 하는 열처리를 말합니다.
이 용어는 아주 광범위하게 사용되므로 처리하는 목적을 덧붙여
사용하는 것이 바람직하다. 예를 들어 광휘 어닐링, 완전 어닐링,
연화 어닐링, 중간 어닐링, 등온 어닐링, 변태점 이하 어닐링.
