SF640B 재질의 이전 Symbol 은, SF65B 재질입니다.

탄소강 단조재 KS D 3710, JIS G 3201 규정으로는 가장 높은 인장강도입니다.
SF640A 재질과 SF640B 재질의 차이점은 Charpy Impact Test (CVN) 조건입니다.

SF640B 재질의 탄소량은 0.60% minimum 으로 탄소강재를
Quenching and Tempering 열처리로, 강도를 높이기 좋은 탄소량입니다.

SF640B 재질은 QT 열처리 필수 조건의 단강품으로
높은 인장강도와 규정치 내의 충격치 보증이 필요한 경우 선택합니다.

※ Charpy V-Notch Impact Test (CVN : 샤르피 충격 시험)
Test to measure the absorbed energy, impact value, percentage
of brittle/ductile fracture, transition temperature, etc. with using
charpy impact testing machine in which test piece is supported by
two supports distant by 40 mm so that the notch meets the middle
between supports and is broken by striking with one blow of
pendulum to the face opposite the notch.

샤르피 충격 시험기를 사용하여 시험편을 40 mm 간격이 있는 두 개의
지지대에 올려 놓고, 또한 노치부를 지지대 사이의 중앙에 놓고
노치부의 뒷면을 해머로 1회만 충격을 주어, 시험편을 파단 시키고
흡수 에너지, 충격치, 파면율, 천이 온도 등을 측정하는 시험.

※ 열처리 (Heat Treatment : 熱處理)
철강재의 전체 또는 일부에 열 사이클을 적용하여 그 성질 또는 조직을 변화 시키는
일련의 작업으로, 철강재의 화학 조성은 이러한 작업과정으로 변할 수 있습니다.
