주철 (Cast Iron)은
Fe-C 합금으로,

일반적인 Steel (강)과 비교하면
탄소 함유량이 10배 이상 높습니다.

탄소량이 많으니 취성 (Brittleness :메짐성)이 높습니다.
하지만 주조성이 좋아 복잡 형상을 구현하는 데는 제격입니다.

GCD450 은
구상 흑연 주철품 KS D 4302 에 등재되어 있으며

球狀黑沿鑄鐵品 입니다.

Steel에 비해 Iron은, 탄소량이 높고
탄소량이 높음은 조직 내 흑연을 발생 시킵니다.

이 흑연이 형상에 따른 분류로
구상, 편상, 공정상으로 구분되는 것 중

GCD450 은 구상 흑연 주철 이며
조직을 현미경으로 봤을 때,

조직이 원형으로 보이기에
붙여진 이름입니다.

※ Brittleness (취성 : 脆性)
The property of little deformability, hard and brittle in general.
It is usually compared by the strength of impact or
the surface conditions of fracture.
일반적으로 단단하고 취성 (脆性)이며, 변형 등이 적은 성질.
보통, 충격 시험에서의 충격치의 대소 또는 파면의 상황에
따라 비교합니다.
인성 (Toughness)와 반대되는 개념으로 외부의 힘에 물체가
소성 변형 (Plastic deformation) 을 거의 보이지 않고,
파괴되는 현상을 말합니다.

Material, whose main components are iron and carbon, generally
over about 2% of carbon and other components are contained
철 중에 탄소가 2% 이상 포함된 철강재

As solidified shape after liquid steel poured into mold
주형에 용강을 주입하여 응고 시킨 형태 그대로의 것.

※ Steel (강 : 鋼)
