SNC2 – Formerly, SNC631 — Currently 합금강 봉강 규격입니다.
탄소강재로 실현할 수 없는 기계적 성질을 Nickel, Chromium 합금과

Quenching and Tempering 열처리로, 100 ksi (690 MPa) minimum 수준의
고 항복강도가 가능한 재질이고, Nickel 합금으로, 다른 합금강재 봉강 재질 보다

좋은 인성이고, 높은 충격치 (CVN : Charpy V-Notch Impact)로 최소 118 joule 입니다.
SNC2, SNC631 강재는 fasteners, shafts, bolt and nut 용도와 기계 구조용으로 쓰입니다.

SNC2, SNC631 합금강 봉강의 제시된 기계적 성질은 Quenching 820~880 ℃ 유냉,
Tempering 550~650 ℃ 급냉 조건이고, 이때의 경도 값은 248~302 — 참고치입니다.

※ Toughness (인성 : 靭性)
The degree of difficulty in occurring impact breaking
because of the material’s toughness .
질기고 세며, 충격 파괴를 일으키기 어려운지, 어떤지의 정도.

※ Nickel (Ni)
One of the most widely used alloying elements in steel.
In amounts of 0.50% to 5.00% its use in alloy steels increases
the toughness and tensile strength without detrimental effect
on the ductility. Nickel also increases the hardenability.

니켈은 강(steel)에 많이 합금 되는 원소로, 0.50~5.00% 수준의 합금으로도, 강의
연성에 해로운 영향을 주지 않고, 강도와 인성을 증가 시키고, 경화능 향상 원소입니다.

※ Chromium (Cr : 크롬)
When used as an alloying element, chromium increases the hardenability of steel
and in association with high carbon gives resistance to wear and abrasion.
Chromium has an important effect on corrosion resistance and is present
in stainless steels in amounts of 11.5-20%.

크롬은 강에 합금 원소로 사용되며, 크롬량이 증가하면 경화성이 높아지고
고탄소강에는 내마모 성질을 부여합니다. 크롬은 스텐레스강에서 가장
중요한 원소로 11.5~20% 수준 합금 되어, 내식 성질을 부여합니다.
