JIS G 4053 에 있는 규격입니다.

강인강 (强靭鋼) 이면서 — High Toughness.
고강도 (高鋼度) 의 성질이 필요한 — High Strength.

축, 기어, 볼트 너트, 기계 부품,
자동차 부품에 사용됩니다.

SNCM815 의 숫자 15는 SNCM815 강이 함유하는
탄소의 Nominal값으로, 탄소량 0.12%~0.18%의 중간 값입니다.

SNCM 815 강의 특징은
어떤 SNCM강보다 Ni 함량이 높을 뿐 아니라

기계구조용합금강재 중
Ni 함량이 제일 높은 강종입니다.

Ni 함량은 높은 반면에 Carbon함량은
SNC415, SNCM415와 함께 제일 낮습니다.

탄소량 만으로 보면 기계 구조용 강재의
JIS S15C, KS SM15C 와 동일합니다.

※ Mass effect (질량 효과 : 質量效果)
The degree of difference in depth of the quench hardened layer
according to the greatness of mass and sectional dimensions .
When a slight change of mass or sectional dimensions bring about
a great change in the depth of the hardened layer, the mass effect
is said to be great.
