AMS 6414 재질은 소모 전극 진공 용해 방법으로 생산하는 프리미엄
항공기강 규격으로, 환봉과 기계 구조용 튜브, 단조재 제품 규정입니다.

Ni-Cr-Mo,저합금계열의 합금강으로 4340 VAR (CEVM) 으로도 불리는 재질입니다.
UNS S43406 과 대응되는 AMS 6414 는 AMS 2300 자분 탐상 시험으로

강재 내부의 청정성을 검사하고, 높은 강도와 우수한 역방향 (transverse)에 대한
높은 연성이고, 경화 열처리 후 우수한 내마모성, 내충격성 강재입니다.

Premium Aircraft-Quality 강재는 높은 응력이 작용하는 환경에 사용되며
Hardened and Tempered 조건에서 260~280 ksi 수준의 고인장강도입니다.

AMS 6414 강재는 ASTM A322-4340 강재와 대응 가능하고, landing gear,
power transmission gears, shafts, aircraft structural components, piston pins,

bearings, transmission gears, components, fasteners, and pressure vessels 등의
높은 응력이 작용하고, 강재 내부의 편석, 가스등을 제거한 청정도가 필요한 부품에 사용됩니다.

※ Vacuum Melting (진공 용해 : 眞空熔解)
Melting in a vacuum to prevent contamination from air, as well as to
remove gases already dissolved in the metal ; the solidification may
also be carried out on a vacuum or at low pressure.

진공이나 낮은 압력에서 금속을 용해하는 생산 방법으로 대기 속에
있는 산소, 불순물이 들어가지 않게 금속을 제조하는 방법으로, 의료용,
고급 금속, 특수강, 전자 산업용 금속 재료의 생산에 사용되는 방법입니다

Premium Aircraft Quality Steel is the ultimate quality that can currently be obtained in
production quantities and is usually applied to the most critical parts and components.
Steel conformed to this quality level is produced by the consumable electrode vacuum
arc remelting technique. AMS 2300 defines this quality and outlines testing requirements
Steels described herein which meet this quality are designated by the letters VAR
(Vacuum Arc Remelts) or CEVM (Consumable Electrode Vacuum Melted)
