ASTM B265 Gr.23 Annealed 조건의 금속은 티타늄 합금으로
Ti-6Al-4V-Eli 합금 명칭 재질과 대응되는 금속입니다.

최소 항복강도 759 MPa minimum 이면서 비중이 불과 4.43 g/㎤ 의, 강도는 높으면서
무게는 가벼운, 전형적인 비강도 (比强度 : strength to weight ratio) 재질입니다.

B265 Gr.23 Annealed Condition 합금은 생체 적합 재료 (生體適合材料)로
칫과, 외과용 재료와 같은 의료용 금속과 항공기용으로 쓰입니다.

B265 Gr.23 Annealed condition 합금은 HRC 30~34 수준의 경도이고
용접성이 좋으며, 열처리는 annealed or stress relieving (응력풀림) 입니다.

B265 Gr.23 Annealed/Ti-6Al-4V-Eli 합금의 ELi 약호는 Extra Low
Interstitials 약자로 불순물인 산소, 질소, 탄소, 철 성분을 극히 낮춘 재질입니다.

※ Annealing (풀림 열처리)
Heat treatment consisting of heating and soaking at a suitable
temperature followed by cooling under conditions such that,
after return to ambient temperature, the metal will be in
a structural state closer to that of equilibrium.
Annealing is a heat treatment process to transform the steel
structure in to a more homogeneous, soft or more suitable state
Note : Since this definition is very general, it is advisable to use an
expression specifying the aim of the treatment (see bright annealing,
full annealing, soft annealing, inter-critical annealing, isothermal
annealing and subcritical annealing)

금속 재료를 적당한 온도로 가열하고, 그 온도에서 유지하는 균질화 처리를
한 뒤, 냉각함으로써 냉각 후 상온에서의 조직이 평형 상태에
가깝도록 하는 열처리를 말합니다.
이 용어는 아주 광범위하게 사용되므로 처리하는 목적을 덧붙여
사용하는 것이 바람직하다. 예를 들어 광휘 어닐링, 완전 어닐링,
연화 어닐링, 중간 어닐링, 등온 어닐링, 변태점 이하 어닐링.
