1.7147 강재는 망간과 크롬 합금 강재로, KS, JIS 의 기계구조용
합금강 강재와 ASTM, AISI 규격 강재와는 비교할 대상이 없는

유럽 규격 합금강재로, 아시아, 미국 합금강재보다 망간의 합금량이 높습니다.
1.7147 강재는 주로 표면 경화강 용도로 사용되며, 기어 부품, 축, 핀 용도로 쓰입니다.

​1.7147 강재는 QT 열처리, Normalizing, 한쪽 끝 경화능 강재로
열처리성 높은 재료로, 표면 경화시는 60 HRC maximum 수준입니다.

QT 열처리시에는 EN 10084 규정 Annex D (informative only) 외경 40~100 인 경우
700 MPa 인장강도 값이고, 외경이 작아지는 경우, 값이 더 커집니다.

※ Manganese (Mn)
Stabilized austenite and lowers the transformation temperature,
improving quenchability. Increases strength without reducing toughness.
Stabilizes cementite and suppresses graphitization.
Fixes S as MnS and thereby prevents red brittleness.

망간은 오스테나이트 안정화 원소이고, 천이 온도를 낮춰줍니다.
소입성을 증가 시키고, 인성의 감소 없이 강도를 높여주지만
너무 많으면 취성을 증가 시킵니다.

저탄소강 및 저탄소 합금강으로, 주로 침탄 퀜칭에 의해 표면 경화 시킨 강
표면의 내마모성과 내피로성을 높이지만, 강재 내부의 인성을 유지 시킨 강재.
표면 경화 방법으로는 침탄 (Carburizing), 질화 (Nitriding), 침붕 (Boriding)이 있고
각각 탄소, 질소, 붕소를 강재 표면에 침투 시켜 경화 시키는 방법입니다.
