A240-316H 강재는 고온용과 구조용 (structural) 으로 쓰이는
오스테나이트계 스텐레스로 A240-316, A240-316L 강판보다

탄소 함량이 높고, 고온에서 크리프 파단 강도가 높은 재질입니다.
저온에서의 우수한 인성 재료이고, 500℃ 를 넘는 압력용기 용도입니다.

A240-316H 강재는 Annealed 조건에서 비자성이고, 열처리에 의해
강도를 높일 수 없고, 냉간 가공으로 강도를 높일 수 있는 재질입니다.

316H 재질은 Type 304 재질보다 몰리브덴 합금으로 공식 (pitting corrosion)
저항성이 높고, 인산과 아세트산에 대해 더 높은 내식성입니다.

A240-316H 스텐레스 강판은 압력용기, 열 교환기, 해수 (sea water) 관련 설비,
원자력 발전과 발전 설비, 약품 제조 공정용 재료로 사용됩니다.

※ Toughness (인성 : 靭性)
Impact absorbing ability of steel without fracture. It is measured by
energy absorbed in an impact bending test. But the area below the
stress-strain curve in tensile testing is also a measure of toughness.
Steel, which is difficult to break has a high toughness.
Steel, which high toughness normally has a high ductility and is
difficult to break with impact energy.
Steels with low toughness are brittle.

질기고 세며, 충격 파괴를 일으키기 어려운지, 어떤지의 정도를 말합니다.
충격에 파괴됨이 없이 충격을 흡수하는 능력으로, 인성이 낮은 강재는
깨지기 쉽고, 높은 인성 재료는 보통 연성도 높습니다.

Steel products manufactured pressure vessels and high pressure
equipment which require strength, weldability and principally
toughness at a ordinary temperature.
They are generally used for the principal portions of pressure vessels.

압력 용기 및 고압 설비용으로서 고온 강도, 용접성 및 주로
상온에서의 인성을 중요시하여 제조 된 강재로
보통 압력 용기의 주요 부분에 사용됩니다.
