1.6582 강재는 크롬, 니켈, 몰리브덴 합금강재로 열처리성이 높습니다.
또한 탄소량 0.35% 수준으로 QT 열처리에 의해 강도가 높아지는 탄소량입니다.

재질 번호 1.6582, 재질 이름 34CrNiMo5 강재는 심경화 (deep hardening)가 가능하고
좋은 인성을 가지는 합금강재이지만, 내식성은 떨어집니다.

1.6582 +QT 강재는 단조 가능한 연성 (ductility) 재료이고. 영국 규격 817M40과
대응 가능하며, 높은 하중이 작용하는 기계 구조용 재료로 사용됩니다.

1.6582 강재가 ASTM 또는 KS, JIS 강재와 화학 원소에서 비교될 수 있다고 해도
1.6582 +QT 강재에는 압연 방향과 역방향에 대한 충격 시험 규정이 있는 차이가 있습니다.

※ Chromium (Cr : 크롬)
When used as an alloying element, chromium increases the hardenability of steel
and in association with high carbon gives resistance to wear and abrasion.
Chromium has an important effect on corrosion resistance and is present
in stainless steels in amounts of 11.5-20%.

크롬은 강에 합금 원소로 사용되며, 크롬량이 증가하면 경화성이 높아지고
고탄소강에는 내마모 성질을 부여합니다. 크롬은 스텐레스강에서 가장
중요한 원소로 11.5~20% 수준 합금 되어, 내식 성질을 부여합니다.

질기고 세며, 충격 파괴를 일으키기 어려운지, 어떤지의 정도를 말합니다.
충격에 파괴됨이 없이 충격을 흡수하는 능력으로, 인성이 낮은 강재는
깨지기 쉽고, 높은 인성 재료는 보통 연성도 높습니다.
