CuAl10Ni5Fe4 재질은 높은 인장강도가 특징인 청동으로 내마모성,
내식성이고, 우수한 인성 (toughness)과 연성 (ductility) 합금입니다.

구리에 알루미늄을 CuAl10Ni5Fe4 처럼 10% 수준을 합금 하면 항복강도도
높아지지만, 인장강도가 많이 높아지는 특성을 이용한 합금입니다.

또한 비중이 무거운 동 (8.96 g/㎤)에 비중이 작은 알루미늄 (2.70 g/㎤)을
10% 수준 합금으로,  CuAl10Ni5Fe4 의 비중이 7.58 g/㎤ 로 가벼워집니다.

이와 같은 특징으로 베어링, 부싱, 항공기 부품, 기어 캠, 밸브, 열 교환기에
쓰이며, CW307G, AMS 4640, C63000 재질과 비교됩니다,

※ Toughness (인성 : 靭性)
The degree of difficulty in occurring impact breaking
because of the material’s toughness.

질기고 세며, 충격 파괴를 일으키기 어려운지, 어떤지의 정도를 말합니다.
충격에 파괴됨이 없이 충격을 흡수하는 능력으로, 인성이 낮은 강재는
깨지기 쉽고, 높은 인성 재료는 보통 연성도 높습니다.

※ Tensile Strength (인장강도 : 引張强度)
Value of maximum load during tensile test divided by the
original sectional area of parallel portion.
As for materials in which the maximum load withstood by test piece
after yielding is lower than the upper yield point, it shall be the
value of the maximum load after yielding divided by original
sectional area of parallel portion.
