STS416-W2 와이어 재질은 KS D 3703 스텐레스 강선 재질 중 하나이고
D 3703 재질은 크롬 10.5% 이상을 함유한 내열 강선에 대한 규정입니다.

STS416-W2 Diameter 0.80~1.60 mm : 인장강도 640~930 MPa 이고
오스테나이트인 경우는 Temper W1 도 있지만, 마르텐자이트계인

STS416-W2 경우는 Temper W2 만 있는 차이가 있습니다.
탄소량과 황 합금량이 높고, 황은 STS416-W2 재질에 쾌삭성을 부여합니다.

※ Free cutting steels (쾌삭강 : 快削鋼) — EN
Steels with a minimum sulfur content of at least, in general, 0.1%
are regarded as free-cutting steels.
적어도 황이 0.1% 이상인 강재를 쾌삭강이라고 합니다.

※ Heat resisting steels (내열강 : 耐熱鋼)
Alloy steels which retain oxidation resistance, high temperature
corrosion resistance or high temperature strength under
various circumstances at high temperature.
They often contain nickel, cobalt, tungsten and/or other alloy
elements other then several % min of chromium.
Principally, they are classified into four types, which are martensitic, ferritic,

austenitic and precipitation hardening, according to their structure.
Further, when total amount of alloy elements exceed about
50%, they are generally, called super alloy, heat resisting
alloy or super heat resisting alloy.

내열강이란 고온에서의 각종 환경에서 내산화성, 내고온부식성 또는
고온 강도를 유지하는 합금강으로, 수% 이상의 크롬 외에 니켈, 코발트
텅스텐등의 합금 원소를 함유하는 경우가 많으며 내열강은 그 금속의
조직에 따라 마르텐사이트계, 페라이트계, 오스테나이트계
석출경화계, 4가지로 분류됩니다.
또한 합금 원소의 총량이 50%를 넘는 경우는, 초 내열 합금, 또는
내열 합금, 또는 간단히 초합금이라고 부릅니다.
