SA479-S32205 듀플렉스 스텐레스 재질의 장점은 오스테나이트계
스텐레스인 Type 304, Type 316 재질보다 규정 된 최저 항복강도 값이

두 배 이상의 높은 강도이면서 내식성의 강재입니다.
304, 316 — 205 MPa, S32205 — 450 MPa minimum.

강도 뿐 아니라 해수에 대한 내식성을 가늠할 수 있는 PREN 값에서
Type 316 PREN 24 보다 높은 PREN 36 수준의 높은 내 (耐) 해수 부식성입니다.

SA479-S32205 강재는 공식 (pitting), 틈 부식 (crevice)에 대해 Type 316,
Type 317 보다도 내식성으로 높은 응력과 내식성이 요구되는 환경에 사용됩니다.

SA479 규정은 보일러 및 압력용기용 봉과 형강 스텐레스에 대한 규정이고
SA182 는 고온용 프렌지와 밸브, fitting 스텐레스, 합금강 규정으로

SA479-S32205, A182-F60 재질은 서로 대응 가능한 규격입니다.
경우에 따라 UNS Number 를 따서 Duplex 2205 라고도 부릅니다.

※ Austenitic-Ferritic Stainless Steels (Duplex, 이상 스텐레스)
Stainless steels where austenitic structure exists together to ferritic
structure at a ordinary temperature.
It is called duplex stainless steel.

상온에서 오스테나이트 조직과 페라이트 조직, 두 가지가 같이 있어
두 가지 상이 있는 듀플렉스 (이상) 라고 부릅니다.
두 가지 상이 50 : 50 으로 있는 것이 이상적입니다.

※ Crevice corrosion (틈새부식)
금속표면과 다른 금속 (금속 또는 비금속) 사이에 형성된 작은 구멍이나
틈의 주변 가까이 또는 내부에서 발생하는 국부 부식을 말합니다.
