S143D 영국 규격 스텐레스는 석출경화에 의한 높은 인장강도 값 — 930~1180 MPa
값을 가지는 특징으로 304 와 같은 300 계열 오스테나이트 스텐레스

인장강도 최소 값 520 MPa와 비교하면 높은 강도를 가늠할 수 있습니다.
물론 300 계열 스텐레스보다는 내식성이 떨어지지만, 스텐레스로는 중간 정도의

내식성을 가지므로 높은 응력과 내식성이 동시에 필요한 경우 사용되며 S143D –
Bright Bar (마환봉), S143B – Black Surface Bar, S143C — 단조재로 구분합니다.

S143D 스텐레스는 항공기의 구조체, 방위 산업용 재료로 사용되고
자성이 있으며, 비중 7.8 g/㎤, 석출경화 조건과 고용화 처리로 구분됩니다.

강재를 냉간 인발, 연삭, 절삭, 센터리스 또는 이들의 조합으로 마무리한
봉강으로, 봉강 뿐 아니라, 원형, 정방형, 육각형, 장방형 및 이형 등이 있습니다.
KS, JIS에서는 마봉강(麻棒鋼)이라고 하고, DIN-EN은 Bright Bar 라고 하며
Bright Bar에는 Drawn, Ground, Turned products 를 포함하며
Peeled Bar 는 Turned Bar 에 포함됩니다.
