재질 번호 1.6587, 재질 명칭 18CrNiMo7-6 EN 10084 규정 강재는
표면 경화강이 특징이고 QT 열처리시에 1200 MPa 수준의 인장강도입니다.

또한 이 재질의 특징은 좋은 심경화 강도 (excellent core strength) 입니다.
이전 규격은 DIN 17210 17CrNiMo6 과 대응되며, AISI 4820, 18NCD8 비교됩니다.

Jominy Test 값의 경화능은 경화 끝단 1.5mm 에서 40~48 HRc 수준의 경도이고
표면경화 처리 온도는 780~820℃, Oil, 160~250℃ Quenching 입니다.

QT 열처리시에는 외경 30mm 환봉 기준 항복강도 785 MPa minimum,
인장강도 1080~1320 MPa 연신율 8% minimum 재료입니다.

1.6587 강재는 표면 경화처리 후 기어, 축, pinions 사용되고 높은 응력이
작용하는 환경의 엔지니어링 부품이나 내마모 성질이 필요한 곳에 사용됩니다.

저탄소강 및 저탄소 합금강으로, 주로 침탄 퀜칭에 의해 표면경화 시킨 강재로
표면의 내마모성과 내피로성을 높이지만, 강재 내부의 인성을 유지 시킨 강재를 말합니다.
표면경화 방법으로는 침탄 (Carburizing), 질화 (Nitriding), 침붕 (Boriding)이 있고
각각 탄소, 질소, 붕소를 강재 표면에 침투 시켜 경화 시키는 방법입니다.
