CSA 350WT 는 CSA G40.20-21 규정의

General Requirements for Rolled or
Welded Structural Quality Steel 입니다.

CSA350 WT 에서 숫자 “350”은
최소 항복 강도 MPa (메가 파스칼)를 의미하고

CSA 350WT 에서 “W”는 Weldable steel (용접용)을
WT에서 “T”는 Toughness (인성)의 약자로

Notch-Toughness Steel로
Charpy Impact Test V-Notch (CVN) 시험이 있다는 의미이고

CVN도 CSA 규정에 따라 강판의 압연 방향 (Longitudinal CVN)과
강판의 수직 방향 (Z-Direction CVN) 시험도 있음을 말합니다.

CSA 에서는 캐나다의 추운 기후 환경에
적합한 강재로, 영하 수십도 아래의 CVN Test를 요구하고 있고

영하의 온도에 따라 Category를 정하고
0 ~ -45℃ 까지 단계별로 되어 있습니다.

그 이하에 대해서는 수요자와 공급자간
상호 협의에 따라 정할 것을 명시하고 있습니다.

※ Charpy V-Notch Impact Test (CVN)
Test to measure the absorbed energy, impact value, percentage
of brittle/ductile fracture, transition temperature, etc. with using
charpy impact testing machine in which test piece is supported by
two supports distant by 40 mm so that the notch meets the middle
between supports and is broken by striking with one blow of
pendulum to the face opposite the notch.

샤르피 충격 시험기를 사용하여 시험편을 40 mm 간격이 있는 두 개의
지지대에 올려 놓고, 또는 노치부를 지지대 사이의 중앙에 놓고
노치부의 뒷면을 해머로 1회만 충격을 주어, 시험편을 파단 시키고
흡수 에너지, 충격치, 파면율, 천이 온도 등을 측정하는 시험.

※ Impact Test (충격 시험 : 衝擊試驗)
Test of evaluating toughness or brittleness of materials to examine
the magnitude of absorbed energy, fracture appearance, deformation
behavior, crack propagation behavior, etc. in breaking test piece by
applying impact load.
According to the manners to apply impact load, there are various
test methods such as impact tensile, impact compression, impact
bending, impact torsion, etc.
Further, according to kinds of testing machine to be used, they
are also divided into charpy impact test, I zod impact test, etc.

재료의 인성 또는 취성을 조사하기 위해, 시험편에 충격 하중을 가하여
파단 시키고, 소요된 에너지의 대소, 파면의 양산, 변형 거동, 균열의
진전 거동 등에 따라 평가를 하는 시험.
충격 하중 방법에 따라 충격 인장, 충격 압축, 충격 비틀림 시험 등이 있고
사용되는 시험기의 종류에 따라, 사르피 충격 시험, 아이조드
충격 시험으로 구분됩니다.
