A2024P-T3 알루미늄 판재는 인장강도 440 MPa minimum으로 같은 두랄루민
A2017P-T3 인장강도 375 MPa minimum 보다 높은 석출경화성 합금입니다.

높은 강도와 함께 좋은 기계 가공 성질이면서, 낮은 비중으로 — 2.77 g/㎤으로
인장강도를 비중으로 나눈 값인 비강도 (比强度 : strength-to-weight)에서, 탄소강이나

합금강재보다 높아서, 항공기 구조용 (structural) 재료와 다양한 구조체로 사용됩니다.
하지만 이런 장점 외에 낮은 내식성, 용접성, 압출 가공성 재료이기도 합니다.

A2024P-T3 재료를 포함한 2000 series 알루미늄 합금은 구리를 석출 경화성
원소로 활용한 재질로 Al2Cu 와 같은 석출 원소에 의해 강도가 높아지게 됩니다.

낮은 내식성을 보완하려고 클래드 (내식성 좋은 재질 1230)한 경우는
A2024PC-T3 으로 표기해서 A2024P-T3 Bare 재료와 구분합니다.

Solution Heat Treated and Then Cold Worked

용체화 처리 후 냉간가공한 것으로 열처리 후 강도를 증가시키기 위해
냉간가공을 하고, 충분히 안정된 상태까지 자연시효 시킨 것을 말합니다.

※ Clad Plate (클래드 : 접합판)
a plate of which the base material (a plate constituting the base plate) is clad
on all the surface with a sheet of different kind alloy by the method such as
pressure welding or the like

심재 중심이 되는 판)의 표면에 피재 (종류가 다른 합금의 얇은 판)를
압접 등의 방법으로 전면에 접합한 판을 말합니다.
