Sulfur compounds (황 화합물)에 대해 우수한 내식 성질을 가집니다.

높은 Cr 함량 — Nominal 25 % 수준
높은 Mo 함량 — Nominal 3% 수준으로

국부 부식 (local corrosion)에 대해서
316L 대비 월등한 내식성을 가질 뿐 아니라

Pitting and crevice corrosion (공식과 틈 부식)에서도
NAS64 는, 316L 대비 훨씬 뛰어난 내식성을 보입니다.
