Brass, Free Cutting Bars and Rods 61.5Cu-35Zn-3.1Pb
Half Hard (H02)에 대한 규정입니다.

ASTM으로는 B16 Standard Specification for Free-Cutting Brass Rods
and Shapes for Use in Screw Machines 와 서로 대응합니다.

Lead (Pb) 가 황동 조직 내 고용 (solid solution) 되지 않고
결정 입계 (結晶粒界 :grain boundary) 의

입계 또는 입내에 유리 (따로 떨어짐)되어 있어,
절삭성 향상에 기여합니다.

Free-cutting brass, Free-turning Brass,
Free-cutting yellow brass, High-leaded brass 라는 용어로도 불립니다.

사용되는 Screw, 시계 톱니,나사 (Thread rolling), Knurling, Valve,
Gear등에 사용되지만 용도가 특정 되지는 않습니다.
