SNCM5 재질은 SNCM630 이전의 기호로 강인강 재질입니다.
니켈-크롬-몰리브덴 합금강으로 +QT 열처리 시 885 MPa minimum 고 항복강도입니다.

합금강으로 스테인리스가 아니므로, 내식성은 담보되지 않는 강재입니다.
ASTM A572-50 고장력강의 최소 항복강도 345 MPa와 비교하면 강도의 높음을 알 수 있고

ASTM A514 Grade B, 100ksi 고 항복강도 QT 강재보다도 높은 128 ksi 수준의 강재입니다.
높은 강도와 인성으로 축, 파스너 용도로 쓰이는 기계구조용 합금강 강재입니다.

JIS G 4053 SNCM5 / SNCM 630, KS D 3867 SNCM5 / SNCM 630 재질이 서로 대응됩니다.
0.30% 수준의 탄소량과 니켈-크롬-몰리브덴 합금은 열처리 시에 높은 기계적 성질이 가능하고

열처리에 따라 다양한 기계적 성질 구현이 가능한 재질이기에 JIS 규정상
기계적 성질이 별도로 규정되어 있지 않고, 참고 값으로만 제시되고 있습니다.

As for alloy steels for machine structural use, suitable amount of
alloy elements such as manganese, chromium, molybdenum,
nickel and so on are added and classified as a steel to be used
after quenching and tempering

인성과 강도를 높이고자 니켈, 크롬, 몰리브덴. 망간 등의 원소를
합금하고, 기계 구조용으로 사용하기에 적합한 재질이 되도록, 담금질과
템퍼링으로, 강도와 인성을 향상시켜 사용하는 합금강을 말합니다.

※ Mechanical properties (기계적 성질 : 機械的性質)
Various properties relating to mechanical deformation and
breaking such as tensile strength, yield point or proof strength,
elongation, reduction of area, hardness, impact value,
fatigue strength, creep strength, etc.
인장강도, 항복점, 연신율, 단면 수축률, 경도, 충격치, 피로 강도,
크리프 강도 등 기계적인 변형 및 파괴에 관계되는 성질을 말합니다.

※ Ferritic Heat Resisting Steels
Heat resisting steels with ferritic structure
Generally, they have characteristics of small thermal stress
due to the small coefficient of thermal expansion and
large thermal conductivity, and of high creep strength
and high yield point at high temperature.
