AMS 6499 강재는 두 번의 진공 용해 과정으로 강재 내부의 불순물, 가스 등을
제거해 청정강으로 만들어 사용하는 항공 품질의 저 합금 강재입니다.

높은 응력과 높은 피로 강도, 내마모성이 필요한 환경에 침탄 (carburizing)으로
표면 경화해서 사용하는 심경화 (through hardening steel) 가능 강재입니다>

공급은 Bright Bar 형상이고, Torsion Bar (비틀림 탄성을 이용하는 스프링용),
기어, 축으로 쓰이고, 인장강도로 보면 Maraging 300과 Maraging 350 중간 수준입니다.

※ Case hardening steel (표면 경화강: 表面硬化鋼)
Low carbon steels and low carbon alloy steels of machine structural use
whose surfaces are hardened mainly by carburization hardening.
Steels with a relatively low carbon content, which are intented for
carburising or carbonitriding and subsequent hardening.
Such steels, after treatment, are characterised by a high hardness
surface layer and a tough.

저탄소강 및 저탄소합금강으로, 주로 침탄퀜칭에 의해 표면경화 시킨 강.
표면의 내마모성과 내 피로성을 높이지만, 강재 내부의 인성을 유지 시킨 강재.
표면경화 방법으로는 침탄 (Carburizing), 질화 (Nitriding), 침붕 (Boriding)이 있고
각각 탄소, 질소, 붕소를 강재 표면에 침투시켜 경화시키는 방법입니다.

※ Aircraft Quality Steel (AQ Steel : 항공기강 : 航空機鋼)
AQ Steel is the most commonly specified quality for general aerospace applications.
It is defined in SAE specification AMS 2301 (자분탐상시험 : magnetic particle testing
: 磁粉探傷試驗), which outlines the procedure for determining compliance with
cleanliness requirements by the magnetic particle inspection method.

항공기강은 일반적인 항공기에 사용되는 재료로 SAE 규정의 자분탐상시험 규정인
AMS 2301 적용을 받으며, 이는 강재의 청정성에 관한 시험 규정입니다.
