UNS No. R30605 는 코발트를 Base로 하는 고온용 합금입니다.

Cobalt Alloy 25, Alloy  L605 는, 980℃ 에서의 내고온 산화성 (oxidation resistance)
뛰어난 고온 강도 (high temperature strength)

해수와 해수 환경과 유사한 인체의 체액과
산 (Acids)에 대한 내식성,

Galling resistance — 마찰 되는 서로의 금속의 한쪽이
일부 떨어져 다른 쪽에 달라붙는 마모에 강합니다.

의료용 임플란트 재료로도 사용되며, 심장 판막,
스프링, 고온용 베어링, 가스 터빈 재료로 사용됩니다.

코발트는 은회색 자성 금속으로 철과 니켈의
외관과 비슷하고 몇 가지 점에서 성질이 같습니다.

몇 가지 코발트 합금은 인체 적합형 (Biocompatible) 금속이라서
칫과용 재료로 사용되며

고온 강도, 내마모성, 내부식성 재료이면서 니켈 합금 대비
가공성이 용이한 금속입니다.
