Chronifer 17-4PH 재질의 특성은
석출 경화 (precipitation Hardening : PH) 스텐 입니다.

Chronifer 17-4PH 는, 마르텐자이트계 스테인레스로
ESR (electroslag remelting) 방법으로 제조합니다.

좋은 내식성을 가지는 1.4301 (AISI 304)와 유사하지만
높은 인성 (toughness)를 가지며

Chronifer 17-4PH 를 1.4301 (AISI 304)와 인장강도와
항복강도를 비교하면, 2배 이상에 이르는 강도를 가집니다.

Chronifer 17-4PH 재질은 주로 의료용 금속으로 사용되며
surgical and dental instruments 용도로 사용됩니다.

Steels with the property of being hardened by a method wherein
a small amount of elements such as aluminium, copper, etc.
is added and compounds of those elements or the like are
precipitated by heat treatment.

알루미늄, 구리 등의 원소를 소량 첨가하고, 열처리에 의해
이들 원소 화합물을 석출 시켜 경화 하는 성질을 지니게 한 강.

※ Wrought product (전신재 : 展伸材)
A product that has been subjected to mechanical working
by such processes as rolling, extruding, forging, etc.

단독 또는 복합적인 압출, 단조, 열간 압연, 냉간 압연 또는 인발과 같은
냉간 소성 변형에 의해 얻어지는 제품에 대한 일반적인 용어로
전신재의 예로는 봉 (Rod), 바 (Bar), 선 (Wire), 관 (Tube), 형재 (Profile),
판 (Sheet), 조 (Strip), 단조물 (Forging)이 있습니다.
금속의 전연성 (展延性 : Ductility)을 이용한 금속 가공품을 말합니다.
이와는 반대로 비가공 제품 (Unwrought products(refinery shapes)는
정련이나 주조, 용해 공정에서 얻어지는 가공되지 않은 제품을 말합니다.
