SNCM 420H 는 현재 사용하는 경화능 보증 구조용
Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum (Ni-Cr-Mo) 합금강재입니다.

SNCM 420H 강재의 Old Symbol 은, SNCM 23H 입니다.
주로 기계 구조용으로 사용되며, 열간 압연/단조/가공 제조된 것을

다시 단조/절삭/열처리 해서 사용하는 강재입니다.
SNCM420H 재질은 주로 환봉 (round-bar) 제품입니다.

경화능 보증 SNCM 재질로는 SNCM 220H, SNCM 420H 2 종류가 있고
두 재질은 Nickel 함량에서 가장 큰 차이가 있는 재질입니다.

Nickel 을 합금하면, 강재의 인성 (toughness), 강도를 높여주고
저온 취성과 열처리시 질량 효과를 감소 시키는 역할을 합니다.

SNCM 합금강은 SNC 합금강재에 Molybdenum 을 합금한 강재로
Molybdenum 은, 고온에서 단조와 압연을 쉽고, 내열성을 높여줍니다.

SNCM420H 강재는 대형 크랭크 축, 고강도 볼트, 기어, 대형 부품
정밀 부품 용도로 사용되는 강인강 (强靭鋼) 입니다.

※ Mass effect (질량 효과 : 質量效果)
The degree of difference in depth of the quench hardened layer
according to the greatness of mass and sectional dimensions .
When a slight change of mass or sectional dimensions bring about
a great change in the depth of the hardened layer, the mass effect
is said to be great.
