SUS301L 스텐레스는 SUS301 대비 저탄소 (low-carbon),
17Cr-7Ni-N 합금으로, 내입계 부식성 (Intergranular corrosion) 향상과

질소 (nitrogen) 합금으로, 301 대비 항복강도와 인장강도가 높고
저탄소로 용접성이 좋은, 주로 철도 차량용 오스테나이트 스텐레스 재질입니다.

SUS301L 탄소량 0.030% maximum, SUS301 0.15 max 로 차이가 크며
SUS301L 항복강도 215 MPa, SUS301 항복강도 205 MPa min. 입니다.

스텐레스에서 탄소 (carbon)은 기계적 성질을 향상 시키는 원소이지만
Cr 탄화물로 석출 되면, 입계 부식 저항성과 공식 저항성을 급격히 해칩니다.

※ 입계 부식 (Intergranular corrosion)
금속의 결정 입계 (Grain boundary) 또는 근처에서 발생하는 부식
Corrosion in or adjacent to the grain boundaries of the metal.

※ Pitting corrosion (공식 : 孔蝕)
Localized corrosion resulting in pits, i.e
cavities extending from the surface into the metal
금속 표면으로부터 내부까지 확장된 구멍을 유발 시키는 국부 부식.

※ Corrosion (부식 : 腐蝕)
Physicochemical interaction between a metal and its environment that results
in changes in the properties of the metal, and which may lead to significant
impairment of the function of the metal, or the technical system,
of which these form a part.
This interaction is often an electrochemical nature.

금속과 그 주변 환경의 물리 화학적 상호 작용으로 금속의 성질을
변하게 합니다. 이로 인해 금속, 환경 또는 기술 시스템 전체 또는
일부의 기능에 심각한 손상이 유발될 수 있습니다.
이 상호 작용은 간혹 전기 화학적인 특성을 나타냅니다.
