M22499 Symbol 은 MIL-DTL-22499 (이전 MIL-S-22499) 규정 재질을 말합니다.
M22499 는 Shim Stock, Laminated, 알루미늄 적층판 (積層板) 재료입니다.

MIL-DTL-22499 규정에는 Al, 황동, 내식강재, 탄소강, 티타늄 합금
폴리이미드 플라스틱 적층 재료군(群)으로, 여러장을 겹친 재료 규정입니다.

겹친 재료 1장이 0.05 mm (0.002″), 0.076 (0.003″) 와 같이 얇은 두께의
재료를 몇십장을 겹진 재료에 대한 규정이 MIL-DTL-22499 (M22499) 입니다.

몇십장 겹쳐 있는 재료를 한장 씩 떼어낼 수 있으며, 유격 (裕隔)이나 간격을
조정 또는 맞추기 좋게, 겹쳐 있는 알루미늄 재료를 떼어낼 수 있습니다.

M22499 는, 알루미늄 재질로, 소재는 Alloy 1100 (QQ-A-250/1) Temper 19 로
인장강도 24 ksi (166 MPa) minimum 소재이거나

Alloy 5052 (QQ-A-250/8) Temper 32 or Temper 34 로, 인장강도 최소
42 ksi (290 MPa) 로, 이들 재질은 열처리로 경화 되지 않고, 가공 경화 재질입니다.

예를 들어 M22499 재료가, 두께 1.5748 mmt (0.0620″) 인 경우는 적층 재료 1장의
두께 0.0508 mm (0.002″) 짜리 31장을 겹친, 두께 0.0620″ x 폭 24″ x 길이 48″ 입니다.
