ASTM A108 규정은 Shaft 와 구조용으로 쓰는, 합금강과 탄소강으로
열처리 할 수 있는 냉간 마무리 제품에 대한 허용공차 기준입니다.

냉간 마무리는 인발, 연마, turned, cold rolled 또는 복합 방법 표면 처리입니다.
열처리는 Annealed, Normalized, Stress relieved, QT 방법이 있습니다.

A108-1141 은, ASTM A29-1141 Hot-wrought 제품을 가지고, 냉간
마무리 처리하면 A108-1141 규격의 강재가 됩니다.

A108 Grade 1141 (A108-1141) 냉간 인발 강재는 항복강도 90 ksi,
인장강도 100 ksi 수준이면서, 황 쾌삭강으로, 절삭성이 좋습니다.

1141 탄소강재는 bolts, studs, pins, axles, shafts 용도로 쓰이며
탄소강으로는 중간 정도의 탄소량으로 AISI 1141 에 대응됩니다.

강재를 냉간 인발, 연삭, 절삭, 센터리스 또는 이들의 조합으로
마무리한 봉강으로, 봉강 뿐 아니라, 원형, 정방형,
육각형, 장방형 및 이형 등이 있습니다.

※ Wrought product (전신재 : 展伸材)
A product that has been subjected to mechanical working
by such processes as rolling, extruding, forging, etc.

단독 또는 복합적인 압출, 단조, 열간 압연, 냉간 압연 또는 인발과 같은
냉간 소성 변형에 의해 얻어지는 제품에 대한 일반적인 용어로
전신재의 예로는 봉 (Rod), 바 (Bar), 선 (Wire), 관 (Tube), 형재 (Profile),
판 (Sheet), 조 (Strip), 단조물 (Forging)이 있습니다.
금속의 전연성 (展延性 : Ductility)을 이용한 금속 가공품을 말합니다.
이와는 반대로 비가공 제품 (Unwrought products refinery shapes)는
정련이나 주조, 용해 공정에서 얻어지는 가공되지 않은 제품을 말합니다.
