ASTM B865-04 규정 재질은 Nickel 원소를 base metal — 63% minimum 으로 하고
알루미늄과 구리를 석출 경화 원소로 사용해, 열처리시에 직경 25.4 mm 이상인 경우

100 ksi (690 MPa) 이상의 높은 항복강도를 가지는 니켈 합금 재료입니다.
ASTM B865-04 규정에는 UNS N05500 재질 딱  1가지만 나타나는 규정이고

Unaged 종류인 열간재, 냉간재, 열간 또는 냉간 후 annealed 열처리재와
Age-Hardened 재료인, 환봉, Rod, 육각, 각강, 직사각, 단조재로

Unaged, Age-Hardened 각각의 기계적 성질을 구분해 나타낸 규정입니다.
ASTM B865-04 N05500 는, Monel®K-500, Alloy K500 으로도 부르는 재질입니다.

N05500 재료는 Nickel-Copper 합금인 Alloy 400, Alloy 401, Alloy R-405,
Alloy 450 재질보다도 높은 강도와 경도를 가지면서 내식성이 있고

-100℃ 이하의 온도에서 저투자율 (low-permeability), 비자성의 자기 특성으로, 펌프용
샤프트, 파스너, 의료용 기구, 해수와 관련된 해상용 propeller shafts 로 쓰입니다.

자성 재료가 자화되었을 경우에, 그 재료가 나타내는 자기적인
여러 특성으로, 일반적으로는 철손, 자속 밀도, 투자율, 보자력,
잔류 자속 밀도 등을 들 수가 있습니다.

Spontaneous changes in the physical properties(for example
increase in tensile strength and hardness) of some metals,
which occurs on standing at atmospheric temperatures
after final cold working or after heat treatment.
