A6 Tool Steel 재료는 QT 열처리시에는 HRC 58 minimum 의
높은 경화성을 가지는 air-hardening medium 합금강재입니다.

비교적 높은 망간 합금량과 1.2% 수준의 크롬과 몰리브덴 1 : 1 합금으로
외경 100mm 수준까지 재료 전체가 완전 경화성을 지닐 수 있는 특징입니다.

A6 Tool Steel 강재는 Annealed 조건에서는 BHN 경도 248 max
Cold drawn 조건에서는 BHN 262 maximum 의 경도 규정입니다.

A6 공구강재는 심경화성과 내마모성, 좋은 인성과 열처리시에 치수 안정성이고
내마모성에서는 O1 – 오일 경화강과 D2 – 고탄소 공구강의 중간 수준 재료입니다.

※ Through-Hardening (깊은 경화)
철강재의 표면과 중심부의 경도에 차이가 없도록 경화 깊이를 크게 하는 담금질 경화.
Quench hardening such that the depth of hardening is not less than distance
between the core and the surface of the ferrous product.

※ Tool steel (공구강, 工具鋼)
A generic term of steels used various jigs and tools the cutting and
plastic working for metal or nonmetal.
There are a large number of types, because they have many uses and
various required performance. They are, as a rule, classified into carbon
tool steels, alloy tool steels, and high speed tool steels by chemical
composition and performance.

금속, 또는 비금속의 절삭, 소성 가공용 등의 각종 지그 (jig), 공구로 쓰이는
강철의 총칭. 용도가 넓고 요구 성능이 다방면에 걸치므로 종류가 많습니다.
일반적으로는 화학 성분 및 성능을 고려하여 탄소 공구강, 합금 공구강,
고속도 공구강으로 분류됩니다.
