A131 DH36 강재의 특징은 배 (선박 : Ship)을 건조할 때 사용하는 강재입니다.
-20℃ 온도에서 50 Joule minimum의 CVN 충격 시험 강재입니다.

유럽의 S355J2, KS SM355C 재질 -20℃ 온도에서 27 Joule minimum 보다
더 충격값이 높으며, EN S355NL -20℃/47 Joule 보다 높습니다.

이와 같은 저온에서의 높은 충격시험 보증 조건은 바다 파도의 충격에 대비함이며
EN 10204 Type 3.2 조건의 3자 개입 인증 조건부로 Type 3.1 보다

검사 조건이 까다롭고, 이에 관련한 검사 비용도 추가됩니다.
일반 탄소강보다 열처리 시, 강도를 높여줄 수 있는 다양한 합금원소를 소량씩 합금했습니다.

저온 인성을 높여주는 Nickel 원소를 0.40% maximum 합금했고,
다른 합금 원소들은, 합금 원소 제한 값 이하로만 합금한 강판 규격입니다.

※ Toughness (인성 : 靭性)

질기고 세며, 충격 파괴를 일으키기 어려운지, 어떤지의 정도를 말합니다.
충격에 파괴됨이 없이 충격을 흡수하는 능력으로, 인성이 낮은 강재는
깨지기 쉽고, 높은 인성 재료는 보통 연성도 높습니다.

Impact absorbing ability of steel without fracture. It is measured by
energy absorbed in an impact bending test. But the area below the
stress-strain curve in tensile testing is also a measure of toughness.
Steel and metal, which is difficult to break has a high toughness.
Steel and metal , which high toughness normally has a high ductility and is
difficult to break with impact energy.
Steels and metals with low toughness are brittle.
