VascoMax®C-250 은 Maraging 250 입니다.
Nickel 18.5%, Molybdenum 4.8% 수준의 합금에

Cobalt 7.5% 수준을, 강재의 강도 향상용으로
합금 했다는 특징을 가지는 Ultra super strength 강재 입니다.

VascoMax®C-250 은, ATI (Allegheny Technologies Incorporated)
회사의 Trademark 제품입니다.

C-250 이라는 머레이징강의 이름은 Cobalt 합금으로
Cobalt as their strengthening agent 에서 따 왔습니다.

C250 에서 숫자 “250”은 최소 인장강도
(ultimate tensile strength, ksi )를 의미합니다.

Maraging 250 강재의 또 다른 특징은  인장강도와 항복강도의
차이가 크지 않아, 항복비가 97% 수준의 강재 입니다.

Maraging 강재는 18Ni 라고도 부르는데 (18% nickel maraging)
이는 18% 수준의 Nickel이 합금 되어 있기 때문입니다.

ATI 는, 강도에 따라, 수요자가 선정해서 쓸 수 있도록
C200, C250, C300, C350 으로, 4가지 Grade 제품이 있습니다.

마레이징강은 Plate, Bar, Rod, Wire 제품으로 생산되며 shafts, gears,
fasteners, missile and rocket motor cases 용도로 사용됩니다.

Maraging 250 은, MIL-S-46850, AMS6512
UNS No. K92890 규격에 대응합니다.

※ Maraging (마르에이징)
Precipitation hardening treatment carried out on steels, the solution treatment
of which produces a soft martensite with a very low carbon content which
can subsequently be aged to give the required mechanical properties.

철강재에서 극저탄소 농도의 마르텐자이트로 용체화 처리 후 소정의
역학적 성질을 얻을 수 있도록 시효 처리를 실시하는 석출 경화 처리.

※ Aging treatment (시효 처리)
Heat treatment applied to a ferrous product after solution treatment
bring its properties to the required level.
Note : It consists of heating to and socking at one or more
specified temperature, followed by appropriate cooling

철강재가 필요한 성질을 가지도록 용체화 처리한 뒤에 적용하는 열처리.
이 처리는 가열한 뒤 정해진 하나 또는 두 온도에서 일정 시간 유지하는
균열화 처리 후 적절하게 냉각하는 공정으로 이루어 진다.

※ Yield Ratio (降伏比 : 항복비)
Ratio of yield point (ordinarily upper yield point) or
yield strength to tensile strength.
