A529-50 재질은 고강도 구조용 (structural) 강재이면서
Carbon-Manganese, 망간강이라는 특징이 있습니다.

Manganese 원소는 강도를 향상 시킬 때, 경제적인 원소로
높은 강도와 함께 용접성도 요구될 때, 망간강을 사용합니다.

JIS의 기계 구조용 합금강재인 SMn420, SMn433 강재도 망간 합금강재로
Mn은 고장력강, 강인강의 합금 원소로 사용되고, 담금질성을 향상 시킵니다.

A529-50 강재는 Wide Flange Beam (H-Beam, W-Beam)
ASTM S type I-Beam, T-Bar (cut tee, CT 형강) 형상의 Beam 제품입니다.

A529-50 강재의 항복강도는 345MPa minimum 으로, A992, A572-50 수준의
항복강도와 KS S355A, JIS SM490YA, EN S355JR 수준의 강도입니다.

※ Yield Strength (항복강도 : 降伏强度)
Value of load strength which a specified permanent elongation
occurs in tensile test, expressed by dividing the load by original
sectional area of parallel portion.
the yield strength is used instead of yield point.

인장시험에서 규정된 영구 연신율을 일으킬 때의 하중을
평행부의 원단면적으로 나눈 값
항복점을 항복강도로 사용하기도 합니다.

※ Tensile Strength (인장강도 : 引張强度)
Value of maximum load during tensile test divided by the
original sectional area of parallel portion.
As for materials in which the maximum load withstood by test piece
after yielding is lower than the upper yield point, it shall be the
value of the maximum load after yielding divided by original
sectional area of parallel portion.
인장시험에서 시험편의 평행부가 두 동강 날 때까지 견딘 최대 하중.

※ High Tensile Strength Steel (고장력강 : 高張力鋼)
Steel products manufactured for building, bridges, ships, vehicles,
automobiles, other structural use and pressure vessel use which
require weldability, notch toughness, workability, and
tensile strength of 490 N/㎟ min. in general.
In cold rolled steel sheets, those of 340 N/㎟ min. in tensile
strength are called high tensile strength steels.

건축, 교량, 선박, 차량, 기타의 구조물 및 압력 용기용으로서,
보통 인장강도 50kgf/㎟ (490N/㎟) 이상의 용접성, 노치 인성 및
가공성도 중시해서 제조 된 강재라고 합니다.
자동차용 냉연 강판에서는 인장강도 35kgf/㎟ (340 N/㎟)
이상을 고장력강이라고 합니다.
