AMS 5578 규정은 내열성, 내식성이 있는 용접관 또는 용접 인발관으로,
석출 경화 가능한, 진공 용해 제조로 불순물을 제거한, 우주 항공용 Tube 규정입니다.

UNS S45500, Custom 455®, XM-16, AM355, 17-7PH 라고도 불리는 재질입니다.
Age-Hardenable (석출 경화) 열처리로 높은 강도가 특징인 스텐레스입니다.

AMS 5578 재료는, 가장 많이 사용되는 Type 304 대비 3배 수준의 항복강도입니다.
좋은 인성과 연성, 가공성과 내식, 내열성이고, 진공 용해와 소모 전극 진공 용해

제조 방법을 사용하는 경우는 주로 premium 항공기강 금속 재료 생산 방법입니다.
AMS 5578 Tubing 은, Annealed 와, 950℉/4h and air cooling 열처리재가 있습니다.

※ Vacuum Melting (진공 용해 : 眞空熔解)
Melting in a vacuum to prevent contamination from air, as well as to
remove gases already dissolved in the metal ; the solidification may
also be carried out on a vacuum or at low pressure.

진공이나 낮은 압력에서 금속을 용해하는 생산 방법으로 대기 속에
있는 산소, 불순물이 들어가지 않게 금속을 제조하는 방법으로, 의료용,
고급 금속, 특수강, 전자 산업용 금속 재료의 생산에 사용되는 방법입니다.

Premium Aircraft Quality Steel is the ultimate quality that can currently be obtained in
production quantities and is usually applied to the most critical parts and components.
Steel conformed to this quality level is produced by the consumable electrode vacuum
arc remelting technique. AMS 2300 defines this quality and outlines testing requirements
Steels described herein which meet this quality are designated by the letters VAR
(Vacuum Arc Remelts) or CEVM (Consumable Electrode Vacuum Melted)
